‘Adolescence is a time of uncertainty stuffed with expectations & glazed with rebellion’ The unequal gender norms develop in early childhood and intensify in early adolescence. Life for teens struggling with gender dysphoria can be extremely challenging. To illuminate the students on the precarious topic. ‘Adolescence and Gender sensitivity’ a session was organised in the school for the classes VIII-IX. The facilitators Dr. Rolie Srivastava – Child Adolescent Health expert and Ms. Priyanka Antervedi – a certified Parenting expert & career counsellor addressed the students. They apprised the young florations on the following :- 1. Problems of adolescents 2. To be stress free 3. To be happy 4. Eat nutritious diet 5. Develop reading habit 6. Participate in extra curricular activities 7. Respect each other 8. Learn to FAIL – to understand success 9. Love yourself 10. Don’t judge yourself 11. Know your talent & efficiency 12. Choose the career as per your talent & efficiency. They also encouraged the students to love life and pursue their passion as it would lead them to summit. The facilitators were highly appreciative of the interactive & enthusiastic participation by the students. The session ended with a positive note LOVE YOURSELF & YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR SAFETY
